CRN announced the CRN Impact Awards finalists in 2021, and Scope Logic is proud to be made a finalist in the Trusted Systems category for our Chorus project. But most importantly, we are proud that we are building trust and autonomy in an industry that is looking after some of the most valuable members of our community.
Recent news of inefficiency and poor patient experience in the media have led to public interest in the performance of the aged care sector and created division in the industry. The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety released this year intends to make home care organisations accountable for the care they provide and is now calling for immediate action from the industry.
Chorus, a pioneering community care organisation, decided to be a step ahead of the game.
From research, the business had decided that the “Buurtzorg” Model of delivering care to the WA community was the best way to improve the business, improve productivity and increase customer and staff satisfaction. Chorus was aware that many companies have attempted this and failed, largely due to not implementing the right technology to support such a dramatic shift. With this in mind, they wanted to ensure they partnered with the right technology company. A company that would understand their needs, was innovative and could meet the scale and speed of change required.
Scope Logic was tasked to provide a solution that would make this shift a success.
Through several successful pilot projects Scope Logic gained insight into Chorus’s business, and was able to quickly translate this knowledge into a bespoke ICT solution. The solution allowed Chorus to deliver care services in small self-steered teams freed from administrative tasks, which run autonomously to focus on providing the best possible care to customers within their immediate community.
The solution has also enabled Chorus to eliminate hierarchical layering and lower operational costs. Through automated processes and intelligent monitoring and reporting, Chorus staff are trusted to make decisions and supported to do what is best for their customers.

We would also like to thank Chorus for allowing us to be part of this dynamic shift and the opportunity to use technology to create a better caregiving system, to empower an industry pioneer to provide the best possible care to its communities, now and in the future.
